2017|2018 Academic Year.

The beginning of a new academic year can come with so much excitement, anxiety and fear for both children and parents. A new environment for some learners, meeting and making new friends, and meeting new teachers etc, can be a whole lot to handle. The freedom and carefree adventures of the holidays is behind us now. There is so much to be accomplished. Working on new time tables, family schedules, parent – teacher relationships etc. As we embark on a new school year, here are some tips Bluebell International School has put together to help us go through this academic year successfully. We hope they come in handy to ease the great task ahead of us.

v  Parents and children should ensure to work on their family schedule to suit our learners, so that they are able to meet up with the academic expectations. The very vital activities and tasks should be prioritized.

v  As parents, stakeholders and educators, we should all be observant, sensitive and keep our eyes wide open to notice the things happening to our learners. When they are uncomfortable and need assistance, recognize when they are to be appreciated and rewarded for the little and great achievements they accomplish, when they are not in good health and need immediate medical attention etc.

v  A new school year comes with a lot of nervousness, worries and irritability. Some of our learners will have a hard time adjusting to new situations and even unfamiliar teachers. To that effect, we should create an environment for safe communication with our children. They should be encouraged to communicate where they have difficulties and where they find things comfortable.

We should do the most we can to prepare our learners academically, socially, physically, spiritually, emotionally etc to go through this academic year successfully. If we do the most we can and let God handle the rest, our academic goals and  dreams will be made a reality.
